Our Background
Society for Living Angels has been set up in 2009 and registered with the Registrar of Associations in 2010. Among the members of our association, there are qualified and experienced Special Education teachers, educators and social workers and we are all closely related to at least one person with an intellectual disability. Society for Living Angels has been enrolled on the list of Approved NGOs by the National CSR Committee in 2013.

Our vision is to have a society where people with intellectual disabilities and their families are fully integrated and where each can achieve his or her full potential as equal and complete human beings.
Our Mission
To be a strong pillar of support to people with intellectual disabilities and their families in every way possible subject to our means.
Our Objectives
- To provide support to people with intellectual disabilities and help them develop their abilities
- To empower people with intellectual disabilities to achieve their highest quality of life
- To provide support to the families of intellectually disabled people by helping them to develop coping mechanisms
- Promote universal human rights for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- To sensitize the public for the full integration of people with intellectual disabilities in society
- To do all such things that are conducive to the attainment of the above objectives
Beneficiaries of Society for Living Angels
- The number of beneficiaries currently totals 36;
- 20 of whom are 30 + years old
- Most of the beneficiaries presently live with their parents or grandparents and some of them attend day care centres.
